I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the Professional Green Building Council on the successful launch of the 2007 Regional Conferences on Sustainable Building and Construction in Hong Kong. The theme of the Conferences echoes with the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's policy to promote sustainable and green buildings.
I do not need to emphasize too much about the importance of sustainable development for all of us and our future generations. Issues on sustainable and green building design have become a focal point for people in Hong Kong and over the region. The 2007 Regional Conferences on Sustainable Building and Construction in Hong Kong provide a platform for experts in Hong Kong and other cities to share their visions and experiences in the latest trends and researches in sustainable building development. The Conferences will foster keener collaboration and connection amongst stakeholders in the region and also raise the environmental consciousness of people living there. I am sure that with our continued efforts and devotion we will make our living environment a more sustainable and greener place that everyone can enjoy.
I take this opportunity to wish the 2007 Regional Conferences on Sustainable Building and Construction in Hong Kong every success.
